Tri-City Challenge

Last update: May 30, 2014

The Payette River Games will be Live Streaming the Water Events on Saturday, June 21st and Sunday, June 22.

Last year’s Tri-City challenge was won by Host City Cascade with Mayor Rob Terry leading the charge. Donnelly’s boat led by Commissioner Willey lost the lead at the end as their raft got caught in the strong current and got overpassed by Cascade with seconds to go. McCall put on a valiant fight and came in Third.

City officials from Cascade, Donnelly and McCall will once again compete in a 1 mile raft sprint and give it all they have to claim 2014 TRI-CITY CHAMPION bragging rights.

  • Cascade Mayor Rob Terry will be trying to defend last year’s sweet last few second victory. Rob is a competitor and will take defending the crown very seriously.
  • Commissioner Bill Willey representing Donnelly is chomping at the opportunity to avenge last years disappointing loss. They were in first place and wandered off course. Bill has been restless since last June and wants the Victory for Donnelly
  • Newly elected McCall Mayor Jackie Aymon is new to the Tri-City Challenge and the pressure is on to improve on last years 3rd place finish. Will Jackie be the wild card this year and upset Rob & Bill? The element of the unknown is introduced.

TIME AND DATE: Sunday June 22, approximately 3pm

Rafts decorated to represent each city will compete in head to head action and will be guided by Tamarack Resort’s expert guide staff.

Don’t be late for this one…..it’s sure to be a crowd pleaser and already a tradition.
